Art Teacher

Elise Rosenau was homeschooled her whole life before earning her B.A. in Studio Art from Wheaton College. Her four summers on staff at Camp Luther and a year of private tutoring were joys of her college years and helped point her to her current calling as a teacher.

Elise loves to use her hands to create beautiful things. Painting, knitting, nature walks, and playing the guitar are her favorite quiet pastimes, but she also lights up during family game nights, pickup volleyball, theological discussions, and conversations about anything creative. She attends Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton, where her dad is a pastor and where she occasionally sings on the worship team.

"I'm excited to guide students through classical art-making skills and discussions about art through history. I want to help students know how to really see the world around them and understand how art can tell stories and point back to our Creator."
